Fort Bend ISD announced Sept. 8 that Zane Ziad was chosen as the 2020 National Ambassador for the “Do the Write Thing “challenge, a writing campaign for middle school students.
Ziad, a student at Garcia Middle School in Sugar Land, was one of two students chosen from the Houston/Harris County area out of more than 14,000 submissions.

Overall, FBISD had 507 submissions and 16 finalists. The other finalists are below.
