All Fort Bend ISD students will once again have access to free meals during the upcoming academic year.

A July 29 news release from Fort Bend ISD said the district will offer free breakfast and lunch to all students for the entire 2021-22 school year thanks to an extended waiver by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).

FBISD said all of the district’s students will have access to the free meals, but that families are still encouraged to complete the Free & Reduced Meals application at www.schoolcafe.com/fbisd. The applications opened on Monday.

To see menus, learn more about meal nutrition and other benefits available to families, community members can visit FBISD’s Child Nutrition website at fortbendisd.com/Page/218.
