Fort Bend ISD students and families in need of food during summer vacation can grab ready-made meals twice per week at several area schools.
Beginning Monday, meal pickup is available every Monday and Thursday through July 29, according to a news release from the school district. Bundled meals include breakfast and lunch for three days, according to FBISD.
Meals are open to students up to 18 years of age, the district said, as well as enrolled students with disabilities up to 21 years old. Families will receive one breakfast and lunch meal per student, and students must be present in order to receive meals.
Pickup will be available at seven schools around FBISD: from 7-8:10 a.m. at Dulles High School (550 Dulles Ave.) and Missouri City Middle School (202 Martin Ln.); and from 7:30-9 a.m. at Elkins High School (7007 Knights Ct.), Hightower High School (3333 Hurricane Ln.), Kempner High School (14777 Voss Rd.), McAuliffe Middle School (16650 S. Post Oak Rd.) and Travis High School (11111 Harlem Rd.).
